Campus Dentist is open to students, staff, faculty, and the public. We always welcome new patients and emergencies.

Initial Oral Examination

Your first visit to our office is crucial with regard to establishing your oral health baseline. We will begin by carefully reviewing your medical and dental histories and taking special note of all of your dental concerns, as well as any symptoms that you may be experiencing.

This will be followed by a thorough clinical examination, including an oral cancer screening, periodontal evaluation, an analysis of your occlusion (bite), plus a comprehensive assessment of your teeth, their supporting structures, and the complete orofacial area. We will take any needed diagnostic dental films at this time.

If we can find signs of tooth decay, signs of gum disease or other dental problems, we will suggest a suitable treatment to prevent it from getting worse. You can take oral examinations to your advantage for keeping healthy and beautiful teeth.

For kids, the idea of going to the dentist for the first time may not be too exciting, and some might not go. As a parent, you must teach them why they need to see their dentist. It can also help to encourage them by letting them watch dental videos about dental cleaning, so they will know that it’s a simple and comfortable procedure. When your kids see their dentists at an earlier age, you can expect they will have optimal oral health at all times.
